Can we take a moment to appreciate how hot my boyfriend is? It’s been a year and I still cannot fathom how this beautiful boy fell in love with me. I am truly blessed. As he leaves for his annual training tomorrow, i will miss him very much.
I’m still silently giggling in my head…what’s the point of having sex if at least one party involved doesn’t climax!
PAHAHAH!
that’s a waste of time….and condoms

End of Mean rant… :)
New followers! thank you! that’s so exciting. Hope you enjoy my randomness and recent book review.
Coming soon: Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James
Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot

“dancing bears, painted wings, things I almost remember… and a song someone sings, once upon a December…”
Best movie…EVER!

I first heard of this book from my older sister who described it in the most honest and on point way possible and she hasn’t even read the book yet. She simple said “I heard this book has lots of sex in it”, and by George, she was right.
After reading this book, the single most pivotal point I can pull away from it is just that: there is LOTS of sex. Normal Sex. Kinky Sex. Sex that will make your grandma blush. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good sex scene just as much as every other red-blooded college age female on this planet, but I dare say that James over killed it. But let’s start at the beginning, shall we?
Fifty Shades of Grey is about a young college graduate named Anastasia Steele, who is an unremarkable, brunette, virgin who is cohered into an interview with the infamous Christian Grey, CEO of Grey Enterprise. After their meeting, he stalks her mercilessly with the connections he has…because he is filthy rich bastard- did I forget to mention that? -who has nothing better to do with his time, apparently. Anyways, He stalks her and because hes freakin’ sexy, he gets away with it being mysterious and not at all creepy. Remind you of someone? *coughedwardcullencough* Anywho, one thing leads to another and they bang. In a nutshell, the whole story is centered on the messed up terms of their sexually explicit relationship. Emphasis on the messed up part.
Now let me give you a little background information on E. L. James. It is said the Fifty Shades series started out as a Twilight fanfic and was turned into a novel. It is very evident in her writing that this is the case. The relationship between Christian and Ana very much emulate that of Edward and Bella, except on a more adult level. He’s very dreamy and mysterious bad boy, and she’s very boring and average, some how attracting the attention of the hottest bachelor/multibillionaire.
With all that being said, I must admit the idea behind the book is not terrible, but actually quite interesting. The character of Christian Grey is very complex and slightly demented because of the dark secret he is keeping hidden. This I find very interesting to read, but I must say, much to my disappointment it was very poorly written. As I said before, the amount of sex scenes is out of this world, and not even needed in some instances. Because of the amount and frequency of them, it takes away from the main plot of the story. One sex scene, was about 7 pages on my E-book, I mean, come on! It was completely unnecessary. If she had taken more time writing about the characters and less time on the sex scenes, the story would have been much better. Plus, nobody can have that much sex, and that little sleep.
Overall, if you’re looking for an easy, entertaining read, or possibly a trashy harlequin novel, this is a good choice, but if you are looking for something to challenge your mind, keep you on your toes, and mess with your emotions, the way I feel all good books should, it is lacking some substance. The story had so much potential, but was poorly executed in this installment.
For me, Fifty Shades of Grey gets 2.5 out of 5 stars. To be continued Fifty Shades Darker (Book 2), coming soon.
